Kai XR Special Education Pilot

Teachers have consistently reported that Kai XR Adventures. multi-sensory, literacy-rooted lessons in STEM & career-connected learning, consistently prove effective for special education students.

Based on this feedback, we’re running a Special Education Pilot to better learn from elementary teachers how Kai XR supports students with IEPs.

Teachers, to participate, please submit the enrollment form by September 22, 2025.

Pilot Details

Pilot Cohort

10 elementary SPED teachers and teachers who have students with IEPs.

Teacher Participation

Pilot teachers will commit up to 3 hours over a period of 6 weeks to attend orientation, implement Kai XR lessons with students, and provide feedback to the Kai XR team and researchers.

Pilot Timeline

Pilot teachers have flexibility between October 13 and November 14 to implement five Kai XR Adventures with their students. Each Adventure averages around 30 minutes and is flexible across STEM, ELA, and science.

Teacher Stipends

For their time and effort, each participating pilot teacher will receive up to a $500 stipend at the completion of key milestones.

  • Attendance of Kai XR Professional Development Session: $50
  • Classroom implementation + feedback survey: $80 per Adventure (up to 5 times for $400 total)
  • Interview with Research team: $50

  • Free Full-School Subscription to Kai XR: Participating schools receive a free Kai XR subscription for all their teachers and students for the 2025-2026 school year.
  • Locked-In Future Pricing: Participating schools can secure a discounted $1,000 subscription price for the following 2026-2027 year.
