Aerospace Engineering, a Kai XR Virtual Field Trip

Step 1. EXPLORE Aerospace Engineering

A Kai XR Virtual Field Trip

Math helps us solve everyday challenges. During this field trip, you will explore how math is vital to humans reaching Mars—through a conversation with Tiera Fletcher, an aerospace engineer who works at NASA and is passionate about science and space exploration.

Step 2. DREAM

From science camps to Mars, Tiera had to dream big!

After completing your AEROSPACE ENGINEERING field trip, answer the following questions about Tiera's career path.

1. What daily activity did Tiera use math for when she was young?
2. What were Tiera's favorite subjects in school?
3. What is Tiera's job at NASA?
4. What inspires you about Tiera?

Step 3. CREATE

Ready to go to Mars? It’s your turn using Kai XR Create.

In the Assets section of Kai XR Create, you will find planets, the sun, and the moon. Use them to build a virtual solar system. Once you have completed the solar system, add a rocket launcher and spaceship. Then, program the spaceship to move using Advanced features and the mission flight plans below. Good luck!

Mission Instructions:
Your spacecraft is waiting for you on the launch pad on the surface of your planet.
1. Make your spacecraft take off and go to the planet farthest from the Sun.
2. Travel to the planet that is in between Mars and Saturn.
3. Make a quick pass by Earth.
4. Go to the planet that Tiera wants to visit.
5. Then, safely land your spacecraft back on your planet's surface.

Bring Kai XR to Your World!

Did you know Metaverse careers are expected to grow exponentially over the next ten years! However, less than 1% of STEAM Centers offer pathways into the booming field. Give your students a head start for the future with our Metaverse Master STEAM programming.

Rooted in Next Generation Science Standards, students are challenged to use their creativity and ingenuity to innovate and design virtual worlds. With our unique approach combining science, technology engineering arts & math (STEAM), our program helps develop life-long technical literacy and prepare students for success in the digital age.
